Brief statement about how the McNair Scholars Program helped you get where you are today.
Being a McNair scholars has helped me to become more confident in myself. It has helped me gain the insight and the attitude needed for higher education. I would not be in the place that I am mentally, strong and curious, if it were not for the kind and inspiration words of Dr. Jack Schmit and the support and guidance from Ms. Jennifer Barron.
Addtional Information
My interests surround the children of incarcerated parents, the effects of the prison boom on society, and the factors and results of mass incarceration in the United States.
